Level 15 – Nightstalker
Our first priority should always be speed. The other two skills are really good, but they don’t fit Sub Rogues like Nightstalker does. Not only can we get to the enemy faster, but we also do more damage with our initial burst.

Level 30 – Deadly Throw
I didn’t find any of these that helpful when playing the beta, but Deadly Throw was perfect for those runners. Later on when you can accumulate combo points faster the silence also helps.

Level 45 – Cheat Death
Most of the time you will be killing mobs so fast that the heals from Leeching Poison won’t matter, and Elusiveness only helps if we are in trouble, which quite often we aren’t.

Level 60 – Shadowstep
This is really good for bouncing around mobs while questing. The Nightstalker ability goes hand in hand with Shadowstep, so you’re extra quick.

Level 75 – Prey of the Weak
Paralytic Poison is also a great talent when you get higher up in levels, but the majority of the time Prey of the Weak will help more. We can do our initial opener followed by a Kidney Shot, and since they take extra damage, they die extra quick.

Level 90 – Versatility
If you plan on finishing all of your quest when you hit 90, Versatility would probably be your best bet. Being able to transfer combo points without a cooldown is pretty nice for leveling.

Level 15 – Nightstalker
Most of the time you will be attacking your enemies in stealth, so the most logical choice for this would be Nightstalker. The faster you can get to your next opponent, the better.

Level 30 – Deadly Throw
If there’s one thing Rogues suck at, it’s ranged attacks, so Deadly Throw will really help you take out those annoying runners. Though once you get to the Cataclysm zones you might want to pick up Nerve Strike for those stuns.

Level 45 – Leeching Poison
The other two talents won’t help you most of the time for leveling, so Leeching would be your best bet hear. Not having to practically bandage at all is a really nice way to speed up your leveling.

Level 60 – Shadowstep
This goes great with Nightstalker. Most of the time you will be killing mobs so fast that the cooldown won’t be reset fast enough, but it’s still a great skill to have.

Level 75 – Paralytic Poison
Now that you’re closer to the harder zones, it’s time to pick up a nice stun ability. This really helps with those harder Wotlk and Cata mobs and of course Mists once you get there.

Level 90 – Versatility
We already have a pretty nice ranged skill, so we don’t really need Shuriken Toss. And Anticipation doesn’t work well unless you’re fighting bosses or mobs with a ton of health, but it’s up to you. Now that you’re 90 you can just choose what fits you best.

Level 15 – Nightstalker
The other two abilities don’t seem to be very helpful for leveling, so Nightstalker would be your best bet. We aren’t in stealth a whole lot, but when we are it’s important to go as fast as possible.

Level 30 – Combat Readiness
This will really help you take down a ton of mobs at once. Just round up a group of mobs, then pop Blade Furry with Combat Readiness. Most of the time you will have them all dead before the buff even goes down.

Level 45 – Leeching Poison
This will save you time on bandages. I think I used like 2 bandages the entire time I was playing beta. Just because I was leeching so much health from everyone.

Level 60 – Burst of Speed
The majority of the time you won’t be in stealth, Shadowstep and Preparation might not be used enough to justify acquiring them. I usually just use the burst after I get done killing a mob, then move on to the next one.

Level 75 – Prey of the Weak
Now that you’re in some of the harder zones it’s important to put out more dps. The mobs will slowly get harder and harder, so you have a reason to stun them and get that extra damage out while doing so.

Level 90 – Shuriken Toss
Rogues really lack in ranged damage, especially at 90. With Shuriken Toss you shouldn’t have a problem with those pesky runners, but it’s really up to you what you want. Now that you’re 90 just pick whatever fits your playstyle.

Like I promised this post will be over the Best Rogue Leveling Spec , and why I think some specs are better then others.

Combat Leveling Spec

Maybe it’s just me, but whenever I play a Combat Leveling Build it always seems like I am playing my Warrior, don’t get me wrong it’s a totally awesome spec. Some positives are you don’t have to worry about stealthing all the time and getting that opening Cheap Shot, so that of course will make leveling faster. Another great thing about this Rogue leveling spec is Blade Flurry! I absolutely love it, and it’s one of the only reasons I spec Combat. If you don’t know what it does I’ll explain real quick. All it does is let’s you hit multiple people at once with the same attack. Which is great if many enemies are on you and your in a bind. Overall this kind of Rogue talent build can be really good. Especially if your new to a Rogue and just want to hack and slash.

Assassination Leveling Spec

I tell you one great thing about Assassination Builds they have crazy burst damage, and in some cases even can do more damage then Combat Builds. The reason why there burst is so good is because as soon as you open it’s very easy to get 5 Combat points on the target very quickly. Also your poisions not only will be doing more damage, but they also will have a higher chance of being applied. The only thing I don’t like about a Rogue build like this is your really don’t get your really good talents until later levels. Most of the time Combat is going to be better for damage, and Subtlety is better for mobility, so a Assassination build really is a in between spec.

Subtlety Leveling Spec

Now we get to my favorite Rogue Leveling Spec. Not only because Subtlety is more flexible then any other Rogue talent build, but it is by far the funnest. The Nightstalker talent which you get right off the bat can be very useful. Nightstalker makes it so you not only are faster while stleathed, but you also will reduce your cooldown. Which can make Rogue Leveling really fast. Also another things the two other Rogue specs really lack is the great talent Shadowstep. Being able to teleport behid someone every 20 seconds really makes leveling faster.

Well that is just a overview of each Rogue Leveling Spec, of course I will go over each one in more detail in the next few post.

Welcome to my very first post on Best Rogue Leveling Spec. I have always loved figuring out the best leveling spec for Rogue characters, but I never thought of making a website tell some of my guild mates suggested it to me.

Anyways I decided so I don’t flood people with to much information I would start out with what I think of of each Rogue Leveling Build .
